MENU & PRICING

THE CHEF’S TASTING

The Chef’s Tasting is a three- or five-course menu. The head chef puts it together himself and brings the courses to the table. He tells you where each dish comes from and how it is made.

How hot is the food?

Our dishes are cooked at 5/10 on a scale of 1 to 10. That is the normal spice level at Delhi House. We adjust it in either direction, so tell us when you order whether you want it milder or hotter.

Not all Indian food is hot. Spices are there for flavour, not for heat. The Delhi House menu starts on the streets of Delhi, and a longer piece explains which street food dishes to try first.

Allergens and special diets

All our food is lactose-free. Some dishes still contain dairy, such as cream or yoghurt, and those carry the (D) mark on the menu. The mark is about milk, not about lactose.

Gluten is in the breads and the samosa. You can swap the naan for a bread made from gluten-free ingredients. It is cooked on a hot plate that the kitchen cleans thoroughly first.

Cashew is the only nut used in our kitchen. It is in six dishes: Butter Chicken, Chicken Korma, Chicken Tikka Masala, Andhra Shrimp Curry, Goan Fish Curry and Paneer Butter Masala. They carry the (P) mark on the menu.

Always tell us about an allergy or a special diet when you order, and check the dish with your server. Your server confirms the ingredients with the kitchen before the plate leaves.
