Chef Randhir Tiwari grew up in Delhi, a city of 37.5 million. The first Delhi House opened in Pietarsaari, population 19,000, in 2019. That is where we learned what works in Finland and what does not. Since the summer of 2025 that same kitchen has been in Tampere, in the Tammela stadium building.
The menu comes from the streets of Delhi, not from a European idea of Indian food. Aloo Tikki Chaat, Chicken Tikka and Onion Bhajia are the same dishes people eat standing at the roadside in Delhi. In the evening the curries and the bar’s cocktails join them.
The dining room sits at Tammela stadium. At lunchtime we see people from the offices nearby, in the evening tables stay occupied longer, and on match days guests walk through on their way to the stand. The company is still Swana Ab, registered in Jakobstad.

Taste authentic India. These dishes carry the flavors of tradition.
Delhi House is a place where the aromatic spices and vibrant colors of Indian street food come to life. Our chefs cook the same dishes people eat in India’s markets and on its street corners.
We take pride in bringing the classics of Indian street cuisine directly to your plate. From Delhi’s iconic chaats and kebabs to Mumbai’s fiery and tangy flavors, our menu is a culinary journey across India’s diverse taste landscapes.
Delhi street food without the trip to Delhi.
